Major Bills Summary (follow action items in Action Map above):
HB60, Regarding Lease Expiration
Senate Commerce committee made an extreme surprise amendment, 2025-2153s, that has changed this into a pro-tenant bill. They put it on consent calendar for 5/15/25 which was only 2 days from the public hearing, exec decision and committee vote. We managed to get it out of the 5/15/25 calendar and move it to the 5/22/25 calendar.
We are working hard to save this important bill and either bring back the original version bill or negotiate out the bad sections of the amendment.
The next few weeks is the major time we all need to show up strong supporting HB60!
