Howdee Everyone,

We have completed a huge amount of work on an amendment for HB1598, Expedited Eviction. We have an agreement that we anticipate will pass the committee and the full House. The bill has some big improvements for landlords in eviction law.

We also completed a good amount of work on an amendment for HB1375, 1 Application Per Landlord Per Year to hugely water that down. It is still in process.

We are working on HB1336, Allowing 2 Month Security Deposit For Marginally Qualified Tenants to address concerns and save that one. We’ll see.

We are also working on HB1499, New Grounds For Eviction.

The above work is greatly moving landlords forward. It is also using up our time which is making this week’s legislative update later than normal. In the interim we update the 1 Minute Advocate sometimes daily.

We will continue to update analysis over the next few weeks. Quite honestly, it is a gigantic task and we could use your assistance. Looks like we now are through initial analysis of the Major bills.

Would you consider:
Donating a little time to provide analysis of the Minor or Important or Major bills,
Or donating funds, see donation button further below, to pay for office staff to handle some of the data coordination,
Or donate some time doing some of the easy but voluminous data coordination.

Stay tuned. Stay involved. The time is now to communicate to legislators as described in the Action Map and 1 Minute Advocate.

Click this button each week if you want to quickly dive right in & handle the urgent updates and communications in minutes.
